[00:00:10] Speaker A: We may only have. You'll tie a little longer. Longer with Big Red. Big Red Freshness last right through it. Yogurt goes on and on while you chew it. You buy a little longer, make it last a little longer. [00:00:32] Speaker B: Finish strong [00:00:34] Speaker A: with Big Red. [00:00:36] Speaker C: So is Big Red some sort of erection pill then? What is Big Red? [00:00:41] Speaker B: Are you serious? You don't know what Big Red is? [00:00:43] Speaker A: No, it's a. It's a cinnamon candy or cinnamon made [00:00:47] Speaker B: by the Wrigley Company. [00:00:49] Speaker A: Big Red. It was their cinnamon. Juicy Fruit. [00:00:52] Speaker B: And it has some bite to it. [00:00:54] Speaker C: Was it like some 90s? [00:00:55] Speaker A: Let's get some Big Red. [00:00:56] Speaker B: Yeah. You know what's funny? Is it still around? [00:00:58] Speaker A: Right? [00:00:59] Speaker B: I'm sure it is. This commercial I'm playing right now, it's from 1988. [00:01:02] Speaker C: And they. [00:01:03] Speaker B: One person handed another a strip of Big Red chewing gum, and it was white in the middle. You know, the Big Red I'm used to is just one solid red stick. But there must have been a time where it looked like a race. [00:01:15] Speaker A: I had a white stripe. [00:01:16] Speaker B: Yeah, White stripe in the middle. Yeah. It was right on. Right on the outsides. [00:01:20] Speaker C: Colgate. [00:01:21] Speaker A: Oh, shit. [00:01:21] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:01:22] Speaker A: Well, we'll investigate. [00:01:23] Speaker B: They must. They must have pulled back on the funding. [00:01:26] Speaker C: Why don't you get Croesus in for an episode? [00:01:29] Speaker A: He's never here. [00:01:29] Speaker C: Popping cop culture bullshit. [00:01:31] Speaker A: He's never here. Oh, we could get him on the phone, though. [00:01:33] Speaker B: Yeah, call in. [00:01:35] Speaker A: That would up our listenership. [00:01:36] Speaker B: We haven't had a good call in a while. [00:01:38] Speaker A: I don't know if he posts us on Facebook. Yeah, we'll really take off then from [00:01:43] Speaker C: his computer in Screens Cafe. Yes. Used to go screens on Clark Street. [00:01:51] Speaker A: Was it Clark or Broadway? [00:01:52] Speaker C: Broadway. Broadway screens. [00:01:54] Speaker A: Internet Cafe. Because he didn't want to pay for Internet, this guy. [00:01:57] Speaker B: Okay. [00:01:58] Speaker A: Have you ever met Adam Krocious? We've referenced him a lot on the program. [00:02:01] Speaker B: No, I don't think I. [00:02:03] Speaker C: Screens. [00:02:05] Speaker B: What's so funny about. [00:02:06] Speaker C: Why, just the thought of it. [00:02:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:02:10] Speaker B: So that was. That was a. That was a pretty popular thing for a while, right? Just having, like a place. [00:02:16] Speaker A: You didn't want to get Internet. You didn't have a computer. [00:02:18] Speaker B: I was too young, I guess, at the time, like to know. I mean, of course I was aware. I grew up that young. I wasn't that young. I grew up while the Internet was, you know, being established, but I was still too young at the time to really need it. You know what I mean? Like to be sending emails or anything like that. So I. I always heard of Internet cafes. But I was never really sure what they were. So it was just a place you can go. And they had a bunch of computers with the Internet. If you didn't have Internet at home, [00:02:43] Speaker A: you could print there. Did they. I don't think it was like a Capital one lounge, like, where they serve coffee or anything. Maybe they. [00:02:50] Speaker B: Did they have coffee? I'm sure. Yeah. [00:02:52] Speaker A: They should have. [00:02:53] Speaker B: I don't think they did coffee. [00:02:54] Speaker A: I don't think screens did. They might have had, like, a soda machine or something. [00:02:58] Speaker B: Do you, like, pay per minute or something like that? [00:03:00] Speaker A: Yeah, it is a counter on the screen. [00:03:02] Speaker B: A little meter. [00:03:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:03] Speaker C: I always worked in computing, so I always had. You know, I was on a computer all the goddamn time. But I did a lot of international travel and that. You needed this. You know, you were. You were in some, like, Moroccan cafe praying the Internet fucking connection would stay up for 10 minutes. [00:03:22] Speaker B: We had a 14. 4 modem at my house. We had. We had the Internet from, like, pretty much the beginning. [00:03:27] Speaker A: What did the Internet cost at the beginning? [00:03:29] Speaker B: I don't know. I wasn't paying the bills. [00:03:32] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:34] Speaker C: IOL. Everyone had that. IOL. [00:03:37] Speaker B: I remember as a paperboy delivering those free trial CDs to everybody's homes. [00:03:43] Speaker C: Shall we play a game? [00:03:45] Speaker A: Yeah. War Games. War Game, sure. That was scary, that movie to me. [00:03:48] Speaker B: What? [00:03:50] Speaker A: The film, War Games. Matthew Broderick. [00:03:52] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:03:55] Speaker A: That AI shit early on, like, scared me, and now it's here. I was just talking with somebody about this, right? Like, somebody that works in AI and all that doomsday shit, like 2001. A Space Odyssey. [00:04:08] Speaker B: War games. Isn't it wild watching 2001 now? Oh, my God. That's just the world now. [00:04:14] Speaker A: Yeah, it was very prescient. [00:04:16] Speaker B: I watched. What is it? I always mess it up. Have fun. Good luck. Don't die. Have you heard of this movie? [00:04:23] Speaker C: I watched that a couple. [00:04:24] Speaker B: Is that okay? [00:04:25] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a recent. [00:04:25] Speaker B: Semi recent. Like last year or something. [00:04:28] Speaker C: Rockwell. [00:04:29] Speaker B: Yeah. I don't know what you thought, but I thought it was great. [00:04:32] Speaker A: I didn't see it. [00:04:33] Speaker B: It was incredible. [00:04:34] Speaker C: It's not AI Though, is it? [00:04:35] Speaker B: No, but they're. They're battling AI there. It's. It's a. It's a warning tale of the dangers of AI and they have to. [00:04:41] Speaker A: Well, I'd like to see. [00:04:42] Speaker B: To stop it. Yeah, it's. I. I would say it's worth a watch. I even started watching it again already, like, within a few days. [00:04:48] Speaker C: What about the Matrix? That's an AI, Right? [00:04:50] Speaker B: Yeah. No, it's not. Necessarily AI Though, is it? No, it's like alternative. Alternative universe. Right. Everybody's sleeping in those pods. This would be AI Then, to them. [00:05:01] Speaker A: Yeah. You know, it was a foreshadow in many ways, with Spike Jonze as her. Did you ever see that film? No. What with Joaquin Phoenix and he dates the operating system. Who's the voice of Scarlett Johansson? Like, everybody's so isolated and lonely because of the technology. They go home and I don't have a wife or a girl. You have, like. You turn on your operating system and she talks to you and tells you, like, oh, it's gonna be all right. That's true. [00:05:27] Speaker B: How about Ex Machina? Have you seen that one? [00:05:29] Speaker A: I don't. [00:05:29] Speaker B: That's a good one, too. [00:05:30] Speaker A: I want to see that. [00:05:31] Speaker B: It's worth it. [00:05:32] Speaker A: Alex Garland. [00:05:33] Speaker B: Check it out. I never know actors, names. Worst at it. Or directors either. [00:05:39] Speaker A: Seen any good films lately, Mark? You've been to the films. You video any film. [00:05:44] Speaker B: It's a film. [00:05:45] Speaker A: I've been to the pictures. [00:05:49] Speaker C: I have. [00:05:50] Speaker A: I don't see you. [00:05:50] Speaker B: First time I heard somebody say film, I was in Ireland, I was 11. And the film Casper had just come out, and the other Irish, the Irish kids were asking me if I'd seen it. Yeah, they said, have you seen the film Casper? That's a weird way. [00:06:02] Speaker C: The pictures what just come out? Odyssey? [00:06:05] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:06] Speaker B: Odyssey. [00:06:06] Speaker A: Give your review. Nobody wants to hear your review of do you know the Tom Segura and what you don't like about how he delivers? They want to hear your opinion about the film, the Odyssey. Give it to him. You liked it. [00:06:17] Speaker C: Well, didn't we already do it? [00:06:19] Speaker B: No. Well, did you see the Odyssey? Yeah, I saw five minutes of it. [00:06:23] Speaker A: What? [00:06:23] Speaker B: Yeah. All right. So. No, I. I was on my way home. I stopped at Reno, which is a local establishment that I enjoy. And I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with my night. And it was seven o', clock and I was talking to the bartender. He's a musician. We. We've known each other for a long time. And I'm like, I don't really know. And so I'm looking. I'm like, I wonder what's playing at the Logan Theater over here. Right? And so Toy Story 5 was playing at. [00:06:50] Speaker A: I heard that's good. [00:06:51] Speaker B: 7:15. I like and I enjoy the Toy Story franchise. I said, you know, I'm gonna go see Toy Story 5 over here then. And so I walked on over, got myself some chicken tenders and brought them in a drink at the bar. No, they sell them there. Yeah. And then you just. You walk into the movie. I sat down and it started, and I realized I've seen this before. I already watched this on my illegal fire stick. [00:07:11] Speaker A: You'd seen the Odyssey? [00:07:13] Speaker B: No. Toy Story 5. [00:07:14] Speaker A: Oh, Toy Story. [00:07:15] Speaker B: Yeah. And so I'm watching it. Yeah. I think. I think I had smoked a little bit and, you know. Yeah, right. Because that's why I would watch Toy Story, you know, I'd be like, oh, I'll smoke a little bit and watch some Toy Story 5. And I probably zonked out, you know, eventually, and woke up and turned it off, went to bed, whatever, you know. [00:07:31] Speaker A: And you find yourself in a movie. [00:07:32] Speaker B: I'm in a movie theater. [00:07:33] Speaker A: Something you thought for the first time. [00:07:34] Speaker B: Yeah. And I'm starting. I'm like, oh, I have watched this, but I'm thinking I probably fell asleep in the first 15 minutes, which was why I don't remember, you know. And then. [00:07:43] Speaker A: But wait, you started this whole thing by saying you. You only saw five minutes. [00:07:48] Speaker B: Well, I'm getting to it, so. So about an hour in, I'm like, no, I've seen this whole movie, I guess, you know, and I just completely forgot about it. And so I'm like, okay, well, you know what? I'm ready to go anyway. You know, I'm kind of tired, ready to go home. So I got up and I walked out, and the Odyssey was playing next door in like, the next theater over. And I was like, that. Step into this one. [00:08:09] Speaker A: Step in and see that. Right? [00:08:10] Speaker B: Yeah. So I walk into that. When I sat down, it was about like two and a half hours in already. I knew that because I was looking at the movie times earlier. I sat down, I was watching. I was like, I have no idea what's going on. So I got up and I left. So I walked out of two movies that day. [00:08:23] Speaker A: You somewhat familiar with the book the Odyssey? [00:08:26] Speaker B: We had to read it in school. And I mean, that was what, like, I was 12, you know, so that's 30 years ago. So, I mean, yeah, like, I'm familiar, but I didn't remember that. I didn't remember that. I said I saw Toy Story 5. You think I remember the Odyssey? [00:08:43] Speaker A: Okay, give us. Give us your two sentence review on the Odyssey. Two sentences. [00:08:48] Speaker C: It's all right. You dread the. The fact that it's. Whatever it is. Two and a half, three hours. [00:08:53] Speaker B: Almost three. [00:08:54] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:08:54] Speaker C: You dread that fact. No, two and a half, but it pulls you along. And then the funny thing about it was with about half an Hour left in the film. All of a sudden, this noise starts coming on. [00:09:09] Speaker A: Where did you see it? [00:09:10] Speaker B: What did you see? [00:09:11] Speaker A: In IMAX or something? [00:09:12] Speaker C: Just regular. God, you can't take two and a half hours of it burning into your retinas. I saw it on the one on Western. [00:09:20] Speaker B: And are you saying the noise was coming from the movie or just like in the theater? [00:09:24] Speaker C: Well, here's the interesting thing. So this noise kicks in, right? And initially, everyone in the theater was like, oh, this must be part of the film. It's like part of the thing. After five minutes, someone got up and went, this is clearly fucking not part of this film. [00:09:42] Speaker B: This person said this. Everybody in the theater? [00:09:44] Speaker C: No, no. But you could see their face. They get up, walk out. They come back in with one of the cinema employees, okay? She leaves, comes back. And everyone's thinking, all right, this is not right. And this thing gone and fit. 10 minutes now. [00:09:56] Speaker A: Yeah, it's just gone for 10 minutes. [00:09:59] Speaker C: You can hear the movie. [00:10:00] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:10:01] Speaker C: But you can still hear the dialogue still. But you can just hear this underneath it. The woman goes out. She comes back in. She comes back out. Eventually, after 15 minutes, they pause the film. She goes, we're gonna try and correct it. Everyone sat there for another five minutes. Then she comes back. She goes, you know what? We can't fix it. So if you don't want to see it like this, just leave now. So ev. No one left. And we all sat through 30 minutes of. Oh, my God, the entire end of the film. [00:10:33] Speaker B: Come on. [00:10:33] Speaker A: And I hope you got a voucher. [00:10:35] Speaker C: We got a voucher as we were leaving. [00:10:37] Speaker A: For a free one? [00:10:38] Speaker C: Yeah, for a free film. [00:10:39] Speaker A: Well, that's not bad. [00:10:40] Speaker B: Yeah, that's all right. I'd take that. [00:10:41] Speaker C: But now all I'll ever remember about the Odyssey, it was like. It was like bloody Sling Blade for the last half an hour of the Sling Blade. [00:10:54] Speaker A: You know, I do Sling Blade. [00:10:57] Speaker B: You do a good Sling Blade. Well, lay it on me. [00:10:59] Speaker C: Go on, then. [00:10:59] Speaker A: Well, one of my last acts was. I was going around doing the Billy Bob. I was doing. Sling Blade was my act. [00:11:07] Speaker B: Let's hear it. [00:11:08] Speaker A: I would just recite the stuff from it. Some people call Sling Blade. Like, all the guys are bleeding. Wait, wait, no, that's not. [00:11:21] Speaker C: That's not it. [00:11:22] Speaker A: Yeah. I call some people go, kaiser Blade. But I got. I reckon you don't want my Rabbit Eater. [00:11:32] Speaker B: I always think that. Cross my mind all the time. Whenever I think of French, I like them French fried taters. What's the rating system on this one out of five. Out of. [00:11:43] Speaker A: On my impression of sling blade. Okay, let me have it. [00:11:46] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:11:46] Speaker C: Out of 10. [00:11:47] Speaker B: Out of 10. [00:11:47] Speaker C: Granularity. [00:11:48] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:11:52] Speaker C: He doesn't have any sort of speech impediment. [00:11:54] Speaker A: Who. Yes, he does. [00:11:56] Speaker C: He has a voice. He has a cadence. [00:11:59] Speaker A: The speech impediment is. [00:12:01] Speaker C: Yeah, but you're saying the words wrong. Say the word. [00:12:05] Speaker A: What? [00:12:06] Speaker C: Speak the word. [00:12:07] Speaker A: Just say, talk like him. [00:12:08] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:12:11] Speaker A: Then I come in, see Jesse on top of my mother. I get. I didn't wear a mother like that. [00:12:20] Speaker B: The intensity. [00:12:22] Speaker A: And some people called it LinkedIn. I guess I hit him up and I did it here. [00:12:27] Speaker C: So you said link. You said it like ling blade. And he. He says sling. [00:12:32] Speaker A: You. You're telling me. I studied this and I rehearsed it. I perform this live on stage. I could do this for an hour. You don't tell me what. [00:12:42] Speaker C: Remember the time you tried to get me to go see Dwight Yocum? [00:12:45] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:12:46] Speaker C: I wanted to love that movie. [00:12:49] Speaker A: Love that movie. And I love Dwight yam. I love Dwight y. Music. [00:12:52] Speaker C: I think I said to you, why the would I want to go see Dwight Yoakum? [00:12:56] Speaker A: Yeah, probably so. Well, you maybe go see Lords of acid. [00:13:00] Speaker C: Give me some Dwight. Give me some Dwight Yocum. Dialogue from the film. [00:13:05] Speaker A: You. No, I'm not gonna. No, because he degrades him too much and calls him mentally. [00:13:11] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:13:14] Speaker A: I have to say the R word. I'm not gonna say it. [00:13:15] Speaker C: What is he. What is Dwight Yocum say to the woman? [00:13:20] Speaker A: Get up. We're getting the band back together. I don't know. [00:13:23] Speaker B: That's. That's better than your sling blade. [00:13:25] Speaker A: Yeah, off my sleepway is great. [00:13:26] Speaker B: No, you do a better Dwight. [00:13:28] Speaker A: None of people call it a gather blade, but I call his name Blade. [00:13:35] Speaker C: Six out of ten. [00:13:36] Speaker B: Yeah, six out of ten. [00:13:37] Speaker A: I'll take it. [00:13:38] Speaker B: I was. I was thinking six out of ten also for the sling blade. But the more you did it, I think it lowered to a 5.5. [00:13:44] Speaker A: I'll come back. I'll brush up. I haven't done it in a long time. Brush up on it. [00:13:50] Speaker C: Hey, that. When you perfect it and then it goes. Yeah, because I was watching peaky blinders and I had the what's his name character down dead. [00:14:00] Speaker A: The main guy. Killian Murphy. [00:14:01] Speaker C: No, no, not Killian Murphy. Because that's a Birmingham accent. I could do that. No, I can do Birmingham all day long because that's adjacent to where I'm from. Sites. All right. I'm from Birmingham. Right. [00:14:13] Speaker A: That sounds like a beetle. That sounds like Pool? [00:14:15] Speaker C: Nah. [00:14:16] Speaker A: Where's Paul from? [00:14:17] Speaker C: People don't do Scouse, right? In America, if you're doing Scouse, you're like, hey, all right. Hey, how you doing, Falconel. [00:14:26] Speaker A: That sounds like a piker. [00:14:27] Speaker C: Yeah. Anyway. From Snatch. No, pikey is like fast Irish almost. Who's the guy? Tom Hardy's character in. In Peaky, Alfie Solomons. God, I had that down to where I could carry a conversation as Alfie Solomon slip into it, and then overnight it just fucking disappeared from me. [00:14:55] Speaker B: Yeah, I can do the Mucinex guy really well. [00:14:58] Speaker C: TJ Miller. [00:14:59] Speaker B: We're having a party. Oh, he's. [00:15:01] Speaker A: That's tj. [00:15:02] Speaker B: That's TJ Miller. [00:15:03] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:15:03] Speaker B: He does that voice. [00:15:04] Speaker C: Yeah, we're having a party. [00:15:08] Speaker B: It's not as good. You know what's happening Picture. [00:15:11] Speaker C: That's south. We're having a pot. [00:15:13] Speaker B: I can't do it anymore. [00:15:14] Speaker A: Why would he say he's having a party? He's got these. [00:15:16] Speaker B: Because he's inviting all his friends over to be Mucus. Yeah, he's a germ. And all his germ friends are coming over to invade the nose. [00:15:25] Speaker A: Is he still doing those TJ Mucinex. It's about Mucinex season, though. [00:15:29] Speaker C: Who is the change of season of Mucinex? [00:15:38] Speaker B: Where's my. Where's my Jeopardy. [00:15:40] Speaker C: Mew? [00:15:42] Speaker A: I don't want to interrupt this. We're gonna let this play. [00:15:46] Speaker C: Who is the voice of Mucinex? The voice of Mr. Mucus, the animated green mascot and Mucinex commuters. Oh, it's Jason Manzoukas now. He took over in 2018 when TJ was canceled. [00:15:59] Speaker A: I think you're thinking of a different medicine for TJ. [00:16:02] Speaker C: No, it's there. Oh, it says TJ 2014-2018. [00:16:07] Speaker B: That hot sauce that you gave me that TJ made is insane. I've. I've already ruined a couple meals with it. I keep it in. I keep it hidden here. And yeah, sometimes if I put something, I'll put it. You got to be so careful. One drop, that's almost enough. Two drops, pushing it. But if you tilt the bottle too fast and three or four come out, you're screwed. Forget it. [00:16:27] Speaker A: It's too hot. [00:16:28] Speaker B: It's so hot. [00:16:29] Speaker A: I don't know why anyone likes anything that hot. [00:16:31] Speaker B: It's not necessary. [00:16:32] Speaker A: It's ridiculous. [00:16:33] Speaker C: Gotta be doing so much. You stomach. [00:16:35] Speaker B: Oh, definitely. Yeah. I'm always heart burning after that. [00:16:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Speaking of eating and heartburn, how's your diet this week? [00:16:45] Speaker B: Yeah, fill us in. Give us an update. [00:16:48] Speaker A: Last week I believe. What was he, 20? £20 down 20. [00:16:51] Speaker B: He was down £20. [00:16:53] Speaker A: Are you working out? Other than riding the bike, are you working out? [00:16:57] Speaker C: No, I want to lose another 20 pounds because I don't think the weight can go on it. I'm scared of tearing. [00:17:04] Speaker A: You could not lose another 20 pounds. [00:17:06] Speaker B: Do you lift any weight? So you build any muscle? [00:17:09] Speaker C: I will do. [00:17:10] Speaker A: When I had a. [00:17:12] Speaker B: Just keep some at home. Yeah, just like do a couple every now and again. I had a friend that was bodybuilder and she told me that if you build muscle it helps you lose weight quicker because your body has to burn calories just to maintain the muscle. Just it being there alone. Your body has to work to service it or whatever. Whereas fat, it doesn't have to do that. So just by sitting around you could be burning more calories if you have more muscle. [00:17:39] Speaker A: If you have more muscle. [00:17:40] Speaker C: I was told muscle was more dense than muscle than fat. And when you initially do it, and this was born out when I did two major weight loss regimes, it kind of didn't go that fast initially because you're just converting, just conversing. [00:17:55] Speaker B: Right. But it certainly helps the process. [00:17:58] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. I mean, my long term plan is to get back to fitness, but I feel like my knee is still too iffy. [00:18:06] Speaker A: It's back barking at you. [00:18:08] Speaker C: Yeah, I thought it was better. I went to K. You know, there's always eight tons of crap outside the front of the lodge. I went to kick a can that was there. [00:18:18] Speaker A: Kick a can? Like kick it. Like just kick trash around. [00:18:20] Speaker C: I kicked it out of irritation. Like why is a goddamn can in front of the theater again? [00:18:26] Speaker A: I would think you'd pick it up. [00:18:27] Speaker C: I normally. I do, but this. I think he was. [00:18:31] Speaker A: You're mad about something. [00:18:33] Speaker B: This isn't the same thing as when the. The glove full of water was on the ground, was it? And it was stuck. [00:18:37] Speaker C: Oh, that was a bad. Yeah, it was simple. Frozen to the ground. I lashed out at this can and it just. It took my knee out. [00:18:46] Speaker B: Yeah. The smallest thing. [00:18:48] Speaker C: God, that frozen glove thing. [00:18:50] Speaker B: I know. That's a trick. [00:18:52] Speaker C: Yeah, that was definitely a trick. [00:18:55] Speaker B: Are you getting gifts out for us? Yes. Oh my God. [00:18:57] Speaker A: Do you guys bring gifts this week? You think you guys didn't bring anything? [00:19:01] Speaker B: Yeah, I've got. I've got this whiffling coaster for you. [00:19:05] Speaker C: Yeah, I've got this diamond. [00:19:08] Speaker A: Yes, I did bring that for you to return that let people know that I returned the diamond cutter. Not my diamond. [00:19:14] Speaker B: That's right. That was a. Your diamond dealer. [00:19:16] Speaker A: I still have my diamond cutter. Keep it at home. I keep it on me, actually, at all times. [00:19:21] Speaker C: Yeah, your cigar cutter. [00:19:24] Speaker A: Cigar cutter. [00:19:25] Speaker B: Okay. [00:19:26] Speaker C: It's what you call your nipsey mark, [00:19:29] Speaker A: because I know you're on a health kick and losing all this weight and everything like that. I got you a food that's good for you. It's not hot dogs. It is Dark chocolate medley of nuts. There you go. That's for you this week, Christian, because I know you love the Buffalo Bills. [00:19:46] Speaker B: Yeah, that's right. [00:19:47] Speaker A: Right. And you're very much looking forward to football season. No, it's not just. It just came open. [00:19:54] Speaker B: It's only one quarter. [00:19:55] Speaker C: Who's had their hands in here? [00:19:57] Speaker A: Nobody. It's brand new. [00:19:58] Speaker C: You? [00:20:00] Speaker A: Maybe a few. [00:20:02] Speaker C: Before or after a vigorous posh boxing bout? Both. [00:20:07] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:08] Speaker A: And I never wash my hands. [00:20:10] Speaker B: Roll the dice. [00:20:11] Speaker A: You're fine. You're fine. I know you're very excited about football season. [00:20:15] Speaker B: Yeah, I am, Mr. Joshua. [00:20:16] Speaker A: Three seasons underway. Josh Allen. Is it my son this morning? Was it this morning? [00:20:22] Speaker B: Maybe. [00:20:22] Speaker A: Last night said the Bills are going to win the Super Bowl. [00:20:26] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:20:26] Speaker A: Apropos of nothing, he just came out and said that, and he's a Patriots fan, so. [00:20:30] Speaker B: Oh, hey, I hope he's right. [00:20:32] Speaker A: Yeah. So this could be all the people [00:20:34] Speaker B: in Buffalo, speaking of which, new stadium. Oh, I'm glad you brought that up. I've been looking all over Reddit today. There was a bunch of posts, I guess in their haste to maintain their schedule, to put this new stupid stadium up that, as I've said before, squeezes out all the poor people and. Yeah, it's just boxes for the rich people. They somehow failed to ensure that the line of sight in all of the seats, you could see the whole field. There are seats where large chunks of the field are unvisible. [00:21:06] Speaker A: Why? [00:21:06] Speaker B: Because there's just like. There's either like a stairway in the way or another row of seats or a. Just fixtures, you know? So, yeah, like, you can't see the end zone from some of the seats. You can't see one of the end zones. And I was talking to my sister about it. I said, do you see this? She and I text during every Bills games. All. Every Bills game all season long. And she said, yeah, she said, well, they. The place is going to burn down anyway because of all the faulty wiring. They forgot you can't build things in the Buffalo winter, you know, so they didn't think. [00:21:41] Speaker A: It's a rush job. [00:21:42] Speaker B: Yeah, they didn't think about that. And then they had to make up for lost time, and in their haste, they screwed the whole thing up. [00:21:48] Speaker A: Will you be in attendance? [00:21:49] Speaker B: Oh, I'll never go to that stadium. I decided that a long time ago. No way home. [00:21:53] Speaker A: And somebody's like, no, I got tickets to the game. [00:21:54] Speaker B: No, I'm not going to go. If it's a free ticket, I'll go. Yeah, but I'm not. I'm not spending a dime. [00:21:59] Speaker A: Well, this is not. [00:22:00] Speaker B: And I'm not buying anything there, either. [00:22:01] Speaker A: Let me give you my gift. For God's. [00:22:02] Speaker B: Okay. Yes. [00:22:03] Speaker A: Christ. I just try to do something nice. [00:22:04] Speaker B: Yeah. Hey. No, I'm. I still. I love the Buffalo Bills, and I've got great memories of their old stadium, and I'm happy with that. [00:22:13] Speaker A: I know you're a big fantasy football guy. You have the Lodge Fantasy Football League, don't you? [00:22:17] Speaker B: No, no, no. [00:22:18] Speaker A: Well, you. I've always been. [00:22:19] Speaker B: I haven't done fantasy football in a long time. [00:22:21] Speaker A: Well, you will now, because I'm giving you this Fantasy Football 2026 magazine to prepare you for your upcoming draft. [00:22:28] Speaker B: All right. [00:22:29] Speaker C: This is all crinkly at the top. [00:22:31] Speaker A: Wet. It was in my bag. It was wet. [00:22:33] Speaker C: Have you. [00:22:35] Speaker B: Whose hands have been in that? After posh boxing. [00:22:37] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:22:38] Speaker A: Damp. [00:22:39] Speaker C: Everything's soaked in your broth this week, [00:22:42] Speaker B: and you're spilled over milk. [00:22:43] Speaker A: When's the last time you bought a magazine from a. [00:22:45] Speaker B: Hey, there he is on the COVID here. Josh Allen, my best friend. [00:22:48] Speaker A: When's the last time you bought a magazine from a. Like a newsstand? Not a newsstand. Those aren't around. [00:22:54] Speaker B: Been a couple years. [00:22:55] Speaker A: Walgreens. [00:22:55] Speaker B: Sometimes at Walgreens, if I'm in the checkout, like, for instance, like, they had a Beatles one recently, and I was like, I'll buy that. I'm sure there's something new I haven't learned yet. [00:23:04] Speaker C: My old lady has loads of magazines [00:23:07] Speaker A: come to the house in the mail. [00:23:07] Speaker C: National Geographic, she had. She used to have the gossip mags till I shamed her out of them. [00:23:14] Speaker A: Did you? As a kid, like in school, you'd go into the library or wherever and find those National Geographics with the African women who had no tops. [00:23:24] Speaker B: Yeah, that was always a big mission. [00:23:26] Speaker C: I just looked under the nearest hedge and found a porn. Yeah, I used to buy magazines like crazy. [00:23:33] Speaker B: I love magazines. [00:23:34] Speaker C: Huge magazine buyer. [00:23:35] Speaker A: It's like having them in my hand, even. Like that brochure that's up here for the Lodge, just holding that slick paper. It's slick. What do you call that? Like, magazine. [00:23:45] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. You're talking about gloss, right? [00:23:48] Speaker A: It's nice. [00:23:49] Speaker B: I used to have a subscription to Spin magazine. Not too long. Well, I mean, it seems not too long ago, but it was 2012 that I really enjoy because. Yeah, the same thing. You got to like thumb through it. You know, you read the articles, you hear about bands you never would have heard about otherwise. And yeah, it shows up and then you gotta actually like sit there on the couch in silence and actually read the thing, you know, rather than just scroll through your phone and. Yeah, in one ear, out the other. [00:24:12] Speaker A: It's a nice thing. Do you, either of you get any magazines to the home? [00:24:17] Speaker B: No, not anymore. They don't really like, I feel like publication. Oh, I get the pub. No, that's not true either. I used to and then they started dropping them off here. So I said, hey, just keep my, you know, I paid them for a subscription. I said just keep that and don't. Don't bother sending it to me because I can just get it from work. But that's the only one. [00:24:36] Speaker C: The last magazine subscription I had was for Cool and Strange Music. [00:24:40] Speaker A: Oh, it was called Cool and Strange Music? [00:24:43] Speaker C: Yep. There was a magazine about cool and Strange Music. They talked a lot about really weird off the wall stuff and then the guy sold it to another guy and then it just disappeared in a puff of smoke with about a. With about a $30 subscription. [00:24:59] Speaker B: Kaiser Sosey. [00:25:00] Speaker C: Yep. Bastards. [00:25:02] Speaker A: When was that? That you. You got that? [00:25:04] Speaker C: That's got to be 20 years ago. [00:25:06] Speaker B: What? [00:25:06] Speaker A: Yeah, I still get magazines to the home. [00:25:09] Speaker B: What do you got? [00:25:10] Speaker A: Chicago Magazine. Because I want to know about what's going on in the city. [00:25:14] Speaker B: Yeah, I like stuff like that. [00:25:15] Speaker A: Mad magazine. [00:25:16] Speaker B: Oh really? [00:25:17] Speaker A: He likes a Mad magazine? [00:25:18] Speaker B: Are they. Are they still recycling? [00:25:20] Speaker A: No. [00:25:20] Speaker B: Do they still recycle a lot of their. Yeah, yeah, it's all stuff in the 70s. [00:25:24] Speaker A: Yeah, that seems. [00:25:24] Speaker B: I remember when I was a kid and I had Mad magazine. I was like. I can tell, like the fashion, you know, even in the cartoons. This isn't current. [00:25:32] Speaker A: Also received Islam. It's a NBA basketball publication for one of my other boys. [00:25:38] Speaker B: Nice. [00:25:39] Speaker A: The New Yorker is an expensive, expensive magazine. [00:25:43] Speaker B: That's a good one. Weekly. Yeah. Whatever happened to Reader's Digest? [00:25:48] Speaker A: I get that as well. Really I'm not. Because I wanted. My wife got it for me and does not cancel. That's a real piece of rag. [00:25:55] Speaker B: Is it really? [00:25:56] Speaker A: It's garbage. [00:25:56] Speaker B: Was it ever good? [00:25:57] Speaker A: Everything's a puff piece or about. It's for old people. For. [00:26:00] Speaker C: You know, my misses Just got Into. Is the spectator left wing or right wing? [00:26:06] Speaker A: I don't know. High society, maybe. [00:26:09] Speaker B: Is it? [00:26:10] Speaker C: No, no, it's political stuff. Oh, and my. My old lady gets Vanity Fair as well, which is just 90% adverts. [00:26:19] Speaker A: Club is a club. [00:26:21] Speaker C: Club's a porn mag. [00:26:22] Speaker A: I know. I. So is high society. You're dope. That's why I was, like, seeing when you would catch on. [00:26:26] Speaker C: You have different porn mags in England. We had Men Only. [00:26:29] Speaker A: You know that was men. [00:26:31] Speaker C: No, it's called Men Only. [00:26:33] Speaker A: Oh, for Men. [00:26:33] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:26:34] Speaker B: That's a confusing title. [00:26:35] Speaker C: We had Razzle. Did you have. [00:26:37] Speaker B: I've heard of that. [00:26:39] Speaker C: What else did we have? [00:26:40] Speaker A: Yeah, that's why Playgirl. [00:26:41] Speaker C: No, we didn't have Razzle Fiesta. [00:26:43] Speaker A: Cherry. [00:26:44] Speaker C: Not cherry. [00:26:45] Speaker A: How about over 40? Like that one? [00:26:49] Speaker C: Well, that was a specialty. You had to go in a room. Do you ever go in one of the news agents? And it was obviously run by a dirty old bastard. Just like 80% porn mags. [00:27:02] Speaker B: No, no, no. They. They had. When I was a kid, they had. There's a gas station up on the corner that had the nudie magazines up on the top. [00:27:12] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:27:12] Speaker B: My friend Josh and I would always walk up there and we'd have Josh Allen. Yeah, different Josh. Yeah, different Josh. Yeah. I wouldn't throw Josh Allen under the bus like this. We'd have to stand on the bottom. We were so short. We had to stand on the bottom, like, shelf of the magazine rack. [00:27:28] Speaker C: Newspapers were. [00:27:29] Speaker B: Yeah. And just to reach it. And we. And then finally one time, some of the gals behind the counter told us we. To stop doing that. You got to get out of here. [00:27:37] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:27:39] Speaker C: You got thrown out of a pawn shop in Amsterdam for what? Just we, you know. You ever been to the Red Lighty in Amsterdam? You went to Amsterdam? [00:27:49] Speaker B: I went to Amsterdam. I didn't go to the red light. [00:27:50] Speaker C: Okay, so the red light is just, you know, obviously there's. There's the shops. [00:27:55] Speaker A: Sex workers. [00:27:56] Speaker C: There's the sex workers kind of in the window and. You've been to Amsterdam? [00:27:59] Speaker A: No, I've not. [00:28:00] Speaker C: Sex workers in the window. And then there's pawn shops everywhere. [00:28:04] Speaker B: Okay. [00:28:04] Speaker C: We just sort of wandered into a pawn shop. [00:28:06] Speaker A: What do you mean? Like just sex toys and things like that. What's in a porn shop? [00:28:11] Speaker C: Yes, sex video, sexy shit. Videos, mags. So me and my mates wandered into this pawn shop and we just. Oh, you know what I mean? Because it's in Amsterdam, so it's red hot, right? And we're looking, and then next thing, this guy Just kind of sidled up next to us and he starts rearranging the stuff. And he just ever so subtly leaned in and goes, this isn't a library, guys, get the out. And we just were like skidaddle. Like frightened kids. We were. [00:28:45] Speaker A: Because you were just looking at the magazine. [00:28:46] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:28:47] Speaker A: I don't think they. If you're there, if you look at them, then it's like selling tower. [00:28:52] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:28:53] Speaker C: But I mean in Amsterdam's red light district, it's like, it's just, it's like 15 perverts, 85 tourists just wandering around going, oh, I'm in Amsterdam. [00:29:05] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:29:07] Speaker C: Because like we never knew we saw. Well, it's Amsterdam. Anything goes. My mate had a siggy lit, right? He's walking around with a fag hanging out his gob. Cue Bill o'. Donnell. So he's walking around and what we didn't know is when you're in the red light district of Amsterdam, that is, is a signal. [00:29:28] Speaker A: Putting a pineapple out on your porch. [00:29:29] Speaker C: It's like a signal for, I want some, I want some drugs. Oh, I want, I want something, you know, spicy. So people kept coming up, wait, what is the signal? [00:29:39] Speaker A: Just walk around with the. Out of your cup. [00:29:41] Speaker B: Yeah. And people smoking at all. [00:29:43] Speaker C: Yeah. People kept walking up to my mate and going, do you want a cigarette? [00:29:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:47] Speaker C: And he would look at him. [00:29:48] Speaker B: I have a cigarette. [00:29:49] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:29:50] Speaker A: Which means what? Do you want some? [00:29:52] Speaker B: Yeah, they're trying to sell them something else. [00:29:53] Speaker C: Yeah, whatever. Hello. Yeah. And so he would just look at him and go, well, I have a cigarette. And they just look at him like you're an. And then walk off. [00:30:02] Speaker B: That's got to happen all the time. No, nobody knows those rules. And everyone's lighting up cigarettes. [00:30:08] Speaker C: I don't know. I mean, obviously the, the purveyors of whatever in Amsterdam know what a tourist is and what a. Yeah, because I couldn't believe like the sex workers in the window, they sit there in a white one piece bathing suit. Yeah. And with like black lights so you could see them, but you know they're lit up. And the johns or whatever you call the people. So you walk, prostitutes, you walk past the window, you just. Oh, look. [00:30:37] Speaker A: So you see this, this gal in the swimsuit in the window. [00:30:40] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:30:41] Speaker A: Like, I want to, I want to make love to that woman. Is that how it works? Then you go in like, I want the one from the window. [00:30:47] Speaker C: No, no, no, she's in the window of a house. You, you walk up, you bang on the door, which is Next to the window. And she walks around, says, come in then. Let's get you sorted. [00:30:59] Speaker A: And it's her you're with. [00:31:01] Speaker C: Yeah. So the pervs are just walking up, banging on a door, and they go. [00:31:06] Speaker A: And they make love to this woman. [00:31:07] Speaker C: Yeah. And then they go back into the house or whatever and just. [00:31:10] Speaker A: I'm just curious because I have no idea. What would it cost to make love to a woman? [00:31:17] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:31:19] Speaker A: Do they also have the same thing for a man? Is there a dude sitting in a window somewhere, like, reading the newspaper, and I want to make love of that guy? Some woman goes up there? [00:31:29] Speaker C: I don't think so. Doesn't seem very opportunity. The problem with the red lighting in Amsterdam is it borders a couple of very dodgy areas, not surprisingly. [00:31:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:31:43] Speaker C: So the cops are kind of like, you know, you. You can't just be wandering around here because you. [00:31:50] Speaker A: They set a perimeter for. For the course coming down here. Yeah. [00:31:53] Speaker C: You kind of got to stay in here, guys. [00:31:55] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:31:56] Speaker C: And like, I say, it's 15 per the 85 tourists in the thing. [00:32:00] Speaker A: So which part are you when you're there? [00:32:03] Speaker C: I was a tourist. So what it was was I went on holiday. I was there for motorcycle racing. We were there in Holland for, like, 10 days. So the motorcycle racing was right at the end. So the guy who organized the tour, the tour operator would say, all right, well, we're gonna go into Amsterdam tonight, you know, and if anyone wants the Red Light District Tour, I'll be doing it. So I think, you know, I was there with my dad and my sister, so my dad obviously isn't there and my sister isn't there. So I just. Me and my two young lad friends. I mean, I was like, the year before 87. [00:32:41] Speaker A: So you're in the red lighting. [00:32:43] Speaker C: I'm 19 years old at this point. [00:32:45] Speaker A: Are you dipping into these places with the women in the window and you knock on. [00:32:48] Speaker C: No, because I'm following a tour guide, you know, is his. [00:32:51] Speaker A: You got to be thinking about it, though, at 19. [00:32:54] Speaker C: Actually, no, by the time. By the time my mate had been approached by drug dealers several times, he in bricks. When we go in this pawn shop and the guy is like, so now we're shitting bricks. [00:33:08] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:33:08] Speaker C: And you're getting nervous. So in the end, we just went in a bar, me and my mates, to wait for the tour to end because, like, oh, this is. This whole place is too much. [00:33:19] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:33:19] Speaker C: And that's when the bartender told us, hey, lads, you better not go two streets over. You'll end up with a bad news. Yeah. [00:33:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, a knife, huh? [00:33:27] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:33:27] Speaker A: What do you say? Let me have some of those almonds? [00:33:30] Speaker C: I gave the things that you gifted to me. [00:33:32] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:33:32] Speaker C: You want them back? [00:33:34] Speaker A: Just have try them. I want to try them. [00:33:37] Speaker B: That's the whole reason I avoided all of that when I was in Amsterdam. It just seemed, like, dangerous, you know, I was curious. I wanted to. I don't think I'd be banging on a door, but I wanted to see the area and see what everybody's talking about. But, yeah, it just seems, like, too sketchy, you know? [00:33:55] Speaker C: Yeah. I don't know. There's the sex museum and a lot of people go to that. [00:33:59] Speaker B: Oh, maybe I should go there next time. [00:34:01] Speaker A: There is. [00:34:02] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:34:02] Speaker A: What if they have something? Because I'm going to Vegas in a few weeks. You're welcome to come join the lads for the fantasy football draft. [00:34:10] Speaker C: Oh, wow. How do you get permission for that? I go every year from the trouble and strife. [00:34:15] Speaker A: No, I get. It's my one dispensation. [00:34:17] Speaker C: Not Vegas. [00:34:19] Speaker A: I don't. I hate Vegas, but I hate it and I don't like anyone. So I was like. I joked. I was like. Was there. They have, like a hooker museum or something? What if they have that out there? [00:34:29] Speaker C: I've been to the Liberace Museum. The sex museum in Amsterdam is like fox wings and dildos and stuff. Yeah. [00:34:38] Speaker B: That novelty's got to wear off pretty quick for that, doesn't it? [00:34:41] Speaker C: I never went to it, to be honest. Someone told me about it. I mean, like, Amsterdam is huge. Was it stacked with bachelorette? You know, hen parties and stag do's when you were there? I don't. [00:34:54] Speaker B: I don't know. I don't think so. [00:34:56] Speaker C: Amsterdam, Dublin and Prague are hell on earth. Over the weekend, it's just all hen pies. [00:35:03] Speaker B: I've had that experience in Dublin. [00:35:05] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:35:06] Speaker A: Pen parties. Yeah. And I'm not. I don't like a hen party. I don't like when they come in with the. [00:35:12] Speaker B: The penis swizzle sticks, you know? Especially when you've been bartending for 20 years, like I have. You see that come through the door, you're in for a bad time. [00:35:21] Speaker C: And is there anything more tragic than a bachelor party? Oh, my God. [00:35:25] Speaker A: Bachelor or bachelorette? [00:35:27] Speaker C: Bachelor. [00:35:28] Speaker B: Yeah, those are bad, too. [00:35:30] Speaker A: You never said whether you like the Odyssey. [00:35:34] Speaker C: Yeah, it was all right. It pulls you along. You don't think, oh, it's two and a half hours. Jesus Christ, I'm never going to get through. [00:35:39] Speaker A: Great. That was great. [00:35:41] Speaker B: You Saw it, too. I saw five minutes. [00:35:43] Speaker C: It's all right. [00:35:44] Speaker B: I want to see the 4D version where they spray water on you and the chairs move and all that. That looks awesome. [00:35:50] Speaker C: That. Do you remember the Kentucky Fried movie and the. The sketch. [00:35:56] Speaker A: No, we. This. I've not seen the Kentucky Fried Movie. You love it. You think it's like this epitome of America. Nobody's seen it over here. [00:36:08] Speaker B: You ever seen the movie Strange Brew? [00:36:10] Speaker A: Oh, my God, yeah. That's my favorite movie. [00:36:12] Speaker C: Fell asleep in the middle about 10 minutes in. [00:36:14] Speaker B: I love all the breaking of the fourth wall they do in that one. They do some pretty inventive movie theater stuff. [00:36:20] Speaker A: That's a great movie. That's like the, you know, Strange Brew. O Brother, Where Art Thou? Is to the Odyssey as Strange Brew is to Wayne's World. No. [00:36:30] Speaker B: Oh, Strange Brew is to Canadian bacon. [00:36:34] Speaker A: No. Macbeth. [00:36:36] Speaker B: Oh, what? [00:36:37] Speaker A: Strange Brew is Macbeth. Yes, it is. It's the same play. Play that, huh? [00:36:42] Speaker B: I don't think I've ever seen Macbeth. Well, Macbeth. [00:36:45] Speaker A: Macbeth scene. [00:36:48] Speaker B: I thought you go. You watch him perform it on stage. [00:36:50] Speaker A: Yeah, you can see it. Yeah. Well, that. That theater you saw it on, I'm not surprised. It broke down, that's all. That's colloquially known as the who Give a. Who Gives a. [00:37:08] Speaker B: Where was it? [00:37:10] Speaker A: Regal on Western. [00:37:11] Speaker C: Regal on Western. [00:37:12] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:37:12] Speaker A: Gives a theater. [00:37:13] Speaker B: I know. And it used. That one used to be so good, too. [00:37:17] Speaker C: It's kind of depressing now. You used to walk in and there was like a. A row of people, you know, the ticket seller. Now it's all automated shot. And they got rid of the arcade. Not that I've been in an Arcade in 20 years. [00:37:29] Speaker B: Sure, but that was part of the charm. [00:37:30] Speaker C: Yeah, it's like all the kids twatting around in the arcade. [00:37:34] Speaker A: I went to the Amnesty chair there, though. [00:37:36] Speaker B: Remember the Arc Light over on Clyborne and still there. Well, the Arc Light's gone, but it's replaced with an AMC now. I went to go see. I don't remember what movie. I walked in and all the. All the chairs were covered in popcorn and other. [00:37:48] Speaker A: They didn't clean it? [00:37:48] Speaker B: No. It was disgusting. It was filthy. [00:37:51] Speaker C: Do you ever go to one of them dollar movie places out in the burbs? How the. [00:37:55] Speaker A: They don't have those anymore. [00:37:56] Speaker C: How do they survive? [00:37:57] Speaker A: They don't have. [00:37:58] Speaker B: Yeah, I used to date a woman on the south side. We would go to those. [00:38:01] Speaker A: They survive, like all. [00:38:03] Speaker C: How did they survive then? [00:38:05] Speaker A: Off the popcorn, off the soda. You know, the. The. The margins on that are enormous. [00:38:12] Speaker C: Right? [00:38:13] Speaker A: Fucking $10 soda. [00:38:15] Speaker B: One time we went to one, this woman that I was dating. We went to some matinee and we walked in and there was one other couple in the entire theater, and they were sitting right in the middle. And without saying a word to each other, we split up and walked to the opposite sides of the theater and then down the aisles and then into their row and sat on each side of them. The whole theater is empty except for. And so we sat and I watched the guy just to with them. Yeah. I watched the guy kind of go like, what the fuck? And I finally looked. I said, we're just kidding, you know? And we got up and moved somewhere else. [00:38:44] Speaker A: Did he appreciate the. [00:38:45] Speaker B: Oh, they laughed. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We were the funniest people in the room. [00:38:48] Speaker A: You ever yell out of the theater in a theater? [00:38:51] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:38:52] Speaker A: Jason Fever used to do that a [00:38:53] Speaker B: lot [00:38:56] Speaker C: when we were kids. My cousin would just get kicked out every film we went to see because he couldn't stop gooning about, really get all excited. The. We had a cinema with three screens, one big screen and two small screens. And the big screen there had like a stage in front of it, like a stage area. And he would always jump up on it and everyone would cheer. And then the usherette would try and, like, chase him off. And then he would. He would always get kicked out probably before the film started. And then we would just meet him outside. [00:39:28] Speaker B: He'd wait the whole time. He'd still watch the movie. [00:39:31] Speaker A: What's up with that guy now? What's he into? [00:39:33] Speaker C: Still a knob. And. [00:39:34] Speaker A: Yeah. My cousin keep in touch with him. [00:39:37] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, it's good. One thing you never had in America, which is really weird, I found out you never had the chalk ice lady. The lady. So every film in England would have an intermission. Right. And when. [00:39:50] Speaker A: Regardless of its length. [00:39:51] Speaker C: Yep. Regardless of his length, intermission curtains would close. And then women with a tray full of, like, chalk ices and confection. [00:40:02] Speaker A: Can you explain what a chalk ice is? Chalk, like chocolate. [00:40:06] Speaker C: It's an ice cream bar covered in chocolate. Oh, right. So the chalk ice lady or whatever would walk down the aisle and post up right at the front of the center, right by the screen. [00:40:17] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:40:18] Speaker C: And then people would file up and buy shit from her. [00:40:22] Speaker B: I don't know why we don't have intermissions, especially now that movies are three hours long. Give us an intermission. Let me get up. Let me get up and leave for a second. Come back. This is ridiculous. [00:40:30] Speaker A: Sell chalk ice. [00:40:31] Speaker B: Yeah, right. Yeah. Yeah, like, why not do that? You're just going to make more money, you know, and none of us want to sit here for three hours. [00:40:38] Speaker C: I can still remember the intermission point in Greece from so many times. You know, where they go to where the gals are having the sleepover and the guys roll up in the car and Rizzo climbs down the trellis and then Kaniki kicks the other two out of the car to go to. That is where the intermission was. As they're walking down the road going swimming. When a guy picks a picture woman over his friends. Yeah, that's when the curtains closed. Greece. [00:41:11] Speaker A: What a memory. That is a very specific memory. [00:41:14] Speaker C: Yep. [00:41:14] Speaker B: It's kind of like. Did you watch today's special on Hulu? [00:41:18] Speaker A: Yes. [00:41:19] Speaker B: Do you have commercials? Do you have a subscription that involves commercials? [00:41:23] Speaker A: Yes, I have the commercial. [00:41:24] Speaker B: Did you notice? I thought it was pretty interesting when they cut to the commercials and they would cut back. It would be when I can't remember her name. What's the name of the person? [00:41:31] Speaker A: Kate Bertlund. [00:41:32] Speaker B: Yep. They'd have like a little like two second thing of her. Like kind of like looking in the mirror and like preparing, you know, you could hear her talking. But it was obviously filmed beforehand. [00:41:44] Speaker C: No, that's part. I never had adverts. And that's part of the regular trans. [00:41:48] Speaker B: Yeah, okay. Yeah. So that's where they would cut the ads. [00:41:50] Speaker A: I thought you don't have adverts. [00:41:52] Speaker C: Not in Hulu. I have it in. [00:41:54] Speaker A: Because you pay premium? [00:41:55] Speaker C: I don't think so. [00:41:56] Speaker A: You must be. [00:41:57] Speaker B: No, I use my sister's account and she has the advertisements. [00:42:00] Speaker C: I don't have ads in Hulu. I never had an ad in Kate Berlin. [00:42:05] Speaker A: Really? [00:42:05] Speaker C: A million ads in fucking Netflix can't take the ads. [00:42:09] Speaker A: Such a. [00:42:11] Speaker C: That was the ultimate bait and switch to me when they did that, like [00:42:15] Speaker A: they thought we were getting away from them because we're off a tv. [00:42:19] Speaker B: Watch it. [00:42:19] Speaker A: I remember Deal with this bullshit. [00:42:20] Speaker B: When I was a kid. My dad told me, he's like, yeah, cable. When it came out, the whole deal was, you're paying for TV now, so we're not going to show you commercials. And he's like. But then they just started putting the commercials back in. So when Netflix started doing that, I was like, okay, we're doing the same thing again then. [00:42:33] Speaker C: And did you notice red box has disappeared? [00:42:36] Speaker B: Yeah, that's Jewel now. Yeah, it's gone. [00:42:38] Speaker A: Yeah. I only saw four years ago. It disappeared. [00:42:40] Speaker C: Really? I saw it the other day. [00:42:42] Speaker A: Well, now that you're not Eating the hot dogs, you're probably looking around. You're not just beelining it for that hot dog stanchion. [00:42:48] Speaker C: Yeah. It's a changing world. [00:42:51] Speaker A: It is. I want to say this. Speaking of hot dogs, you know, I had some catfish a while back, and I've say abandoned, but I've moved off the strict veganism. [00:43:03] Speaker B: Yeah. Are you getting more adventurous? [00:43:05] Speaker A: I had the hot dog. [00:43:06] Speaker B: Oh, how did it eat? What happened? [00:43:09] Speaker A: The Cubs game, and I was like, you know, I'd already had a little meat. [00:43:13] Speaker C: 15 hot dog. [00:43:14] Speaker A: Yeah, 12. And I got it dry. Nothing on it I wanted to taste. Just want to snap into that. [00:43:23] Speaker B: Yeah. Was it one of the ones from the stands or the guy walking around? [00:43:26] Speaker A: From the stand. I don't want the guy walking around. [00:43:29] Speaker B: I like the guy walking around. [00:43:30] Speaker C: Frank, the onions. [00:43:32] Speaker A: Nothing dry. Not any. Not any. [00:43:35] Speaker B: How'd it go? [00:43:38] Speaker A: It was like. It was sexual. I felt sexual. It was amazing. It was the. Incredible. To not have a hot dog for so many years. [00:43:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:43:48] Speaker A: Finally have one. [00:43:49] Speaker B: I'll have to bring you some Salin's hot dogs now. [00:43:51] Speaker A: Yeah. Let me snap into that. [00:43:52] Speaker B: I got a pack in my freezer still for my last buffalo trip. [00:43:55] Speaker A: Well, I still got the mustard to put on. [00:43:57] Speaker B: Yeah, right. You have the whole package. [00:43:59] Speaker A: See, I'm like you now. I'm eating hot dogs and I did. [00:44:02] Speaker C: Heating that entire. Goddamn. All right. [00:44:05] Speaker A: You want it so fast? [00:44:06] Speaker C: Well, there's no left. [00:44:08] Speaker A: Shouldn't eat too many nuts anyway. Trying. [00:44:12] Speaker C: Well, I was researching how to snack and still maintain a diet, and they did say nuts. [00:44:17] Speaker A: Nuts are good. You can overeat them, though. [00:44:19] Speaker C: You can. Yeah. [00:44:20] Speaker A: And if you do, you're. It's not good. [00:44:22] Speaker B: Lots of cholesterol, is it? [00:44:24] Speaker A: It's a lot of fat. Yeah, it's a good fat, but it's. They're. They're dense anyway, so I had a hot dog, and I did. I will say I did. My wife's gonna find out about this. But I was at the Jewel and I grabbed one of those starving, and I grabbed one of those $1 hot dogs. [00:44:43] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. To go vegan and to go to meat, but do it via hot dogs is kind of a. That's a. That's a lot at once. [00:44:51] Speaker A: You'd think that I would, like, go first. I don't want any of that. I just want, like. [00:44:54] Speaker B: I think you'd start with chicken steakums. Like, steakums. I haven't heard about steakums in forever. Oh, they're so good. [00:45:02] Speaker A: I don't want anything nice. [00:45:03] Speaker B: I want, like, how about a Slim Jim? Are you gonna snap into a slim? I would, yeah. [00:45:08] Speaker C: Jerky was mentioned as a healthy snacker. [00:45:11] Speaker B: I can believe it. [00:45:12] Speaker A: Too much sodium. [00:45:12] Speaker B: Just protein. Depends what you get, I think. [00:45:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:45:16] Speaker B: Especially if you get like a turkey jerky. [00:45:19] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, yeah. Turkey jerky. [00:45:22] Speaker C: Jerky Boys. Makes me want to go listen to all the Jerky Boys albums again. [00:45:29] Speaker A: You know, I've been thinking, talking about the. Who gives a theater that shout out to Bill Begain, who came up with that one. We haven't heard from him in a long time. You know, he's still listening, but, you [00:45:37] Speaker B: know, I saw some of his equipment out on the street. I. Milwaukee Avenue. Yeah. I was bike. [00:45:41] Speaker C: How do you spell it? [00:45:43] Speaker A: B, I, G, A, N, E. Now it's not began. Pavement. [00:45:48] Speaker B: Oh, maybe that's what I saw there. They're paving the street. [00:45:51] Speaker A: That's a huge conglomerate. He's not relayed. He's not with those guys. [00:45:54] Speaker B: I see. Because I did. I stopped and I asked him, I said, do you guys sponsor our podcast? You guys listen? [00:46:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:46:01] Speaker B: No, no. They said, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, we know. We know who you are. [00:46:05] Speaker C: I went looking for his website. [00:46:07] Speaker A: You did? [00:46:08] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:46:08] Speaker A: Did you find it? [00:46:09] Speaker C: No, because I was. I was thinking it was bargain, but [00:46:13] Speaker A: spelt, truth be told. How it's pronounced is began, B I G A N E. Which to me reads as began. But it's pronounced began. But it's more fun to say, Bill. Began. [00:46:24] Speaker B: Yeah, it is. It's better. [00:46:26] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah. I was looking almost for spelling like bargain, but I was changing it to an O to a U. Of just getting nowhere. [00:46:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, now you know. Did you. Now you can reach out to him regarding the. The kitchen here that you're putting together. Where's that project? Is that still happening? [00:46:42] Speaker C: It's not happening. [00:46:44] Speaker A: What? I thought you're gonna have a little [00:46:46] Speaker B: quick serve kitchen here. It's too much. [00:46:49] Speaker C: Too much. Have the city come in. Jesus. [00:46:52] Speaker A: You don't want them sniffing around what they might find here. [00:46:54] Speaker B: That is one heck of a can of worms. [00:46:57] Speaker C: Yep. [00:46:58] Speaker A: Oh, that's too bad. [00:46:59] Speaker C: Plus, I mean, it's gonna be hard to run it. You basically got to have a person. [00:47:03] Speaker A: I told you I would do it. I just want to be here. [00:47:06] Speaker C: Be here every Friday and Saturday. [00:47:08] Speaker A: It's only Friday and Saturday. [00:47:09] Speaker C: Yep. [00:47:10] Speaker A: I'm just making hot dogs and back there. [00:47:12] Speaker C: Yep. [00:47:13] Speaker A: I will do it. What's the pay? [00:47:16] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:47:17] Speaker B: Free hot dogs. [00:47:18] Speaker C: Yeah, hot dogs. Chili. [00:47:21] Speaker A: I can see any. Any show. I want hot dogs. [00:47:24] Speaker C: Chili. And what was the other thing. Oh, Italian beef, beef, hot pretzels, hot [00:47:28] Speaker A: dogs, chili and Italian beef. What do you think the best Italian beef is in the city? Who do you think has the best beef? [00:47:38] Speaker B: I haven't had enough of them to really know thing. [00:47:41] Speaker A: All right. [00:47:41] Speaker B: This is a roast beef sandwich. [00:47:43] Speaker C: I don't know. Yeah, it's like Monty used to always want. And we ended up traveling path to show up miles to the west to find it. [00:47:53] Speaker A: Yeah, he probably took you to Johnny's. That's the best. [00:47:55] Speaker C: Is that like a big long counter place? [00:47:58] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:47:59] Speaker C: And it's. It's a bit west. [00:48:01] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:48:01] Speaker A: Yeah, west on North Avenue. Way west. [00:48:03] Speaker C: Probably. Probably that. [00:48:05] Speaker A: I think he brought me there too. [00:48:06] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:48:07] Speaker B: All right. There's a. There's a place on Montrose. No, sorry, Cicero, just south of Montrose that I got recently. I can't remember. I know. [00:48:17] Speaker A: I love a beef. That. That's another thing I would love to eat. Roast beef sandwich. [00:48:20] Speaker B: Really? Italian beef, really good. I do this. I think I've mentioned it before. I'll do this thing where Alberto will feed my fish while I'm traveling. And as payment, I always get him a sandwich. And that's usually my go to. I'll get off the Montrose Blue Line [00:48:33] Speaker A: stop, get him a beef. [00:48:34] Speaker B: Yeah, I might walk over to the Cicero bus. I'll stop at the. I don't know, whatever it's called. It's not Frank and Mary's, but it's something like that. [00:48:40] Speaker A: You know, My buddy works at Franken Mary's. [00:48:42] Speaker B: My buddy Dalek Peak worked over there. [00:48:45] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:48:45] Speaker B: Is that. Who are you talking about too? [00:48:46] Speaker A: No, he just started the Tuesday day shift. [00:48:49] Speaker B: I love that place. I used to. There was a. I was in a band with a drummer that lived across the street. We used to go there all the time for lunch. They would. [00:48:56] Speaker A: Well, they don't have food. [00:48:57] Speaker B: It's so cheap. Yeah, they would crock pots and stuff. It's just like a different, like special every day, whatever. They make like kind of the same deal that you were talking about doing. Yeah. And it'd be like eight bucks and they would just pile it on. Oh, my God. You couldn't beat it. It was the best. [00:49:10] Speaker C: You know, I was talking last week about my fat bastard cousin that visited. [00:49:13] Speaker A: Yeah, I remember that last week. [00:49:15] Speaker C: One of the things he always does when he visits us in Chicago, he just wants to eat absolute filth. Like absolute filth. Whatever the new fast food is, he wants to try. [00:49:27] Speaker B: Let's go to Culver's. [00:49:28] Speaker C: Yeah, just stuff like that. And he always wants an Italian beef. And we came to see a show here, and he. As we were going back, he's like, oh, can we get an Italian beef on the way. I said, well, there's an owls at the corner of the Western and Elston or whatever it is. I'll get you one there. And then this son of a. Just gets an Italian beef and fries, and it's like 10:30 at night, and all I can think is, I so badly want to eat that Italian. [00:49:58] Speaker A: Yeah, you didn't. [00:49:59] Speaker C: I didn't. Christ, it's gonna be like three pounds straight back on again. That's a week's work done. Yeah, but he just sat in my kitchen, just. [00:50:11] Speaker A: Oh, you wanted it so bad. [00:50:14] Speaker C: Yep. [00:50:15] Speaker A: You wanted to put it in your gob. [00:50:17] Speaker C: Yep. Come on, let's get this bleeding review. [00:50:22] Speaker B: I know. I tried to do a segue earlier into it. [00:50:24] Speaker A: Oh, you did? [00:50:25] Speaker B: Yeah. It's my clever. My clever Hulu thing I was talking about. [00:50:28] Speaker A: I don't pick up social cues. All right, well, I didn't pick this. [00:50:35] Speaker C: It's a female. [00:50:37] Speaker A: I love female comedians. [00:50:39] Speaker C: I did the stats again today. I've picked seven out of the last eight of my picks have been female. Just to bring some sort of balance to this ship. Good. [00:50:49] Speaker B: We need it. [00:50:50] Speaker C: Okay, you have picked two. [00:50:53] Speaker A: And Morgan Total. [00:50:55] Speaker C: Leanne Rhymes. And Steph. Terrible. [00:50:59] Speaker A: Steph Tollen. Yeah, I picked others. There's no way. [00:51:03] Speaker C: Only two. [00:51:05] Speaker A: Well, this. This paints me as someone who doesn't like women. My favorite musical artists are female singer songwriters. I've listened to Sarah McLaughlin on a loop. [00:51:17] Speaker C: But you clearly, clearly feel they have no place in comedy. [00:51:21] Speaker A: Not true. One of my favorite comedians sat right here next to me. Beth Stelling. I think she best in the business, which she does. So there it is. Just happens to be that more male comedians are. There's more of them. [00:51:38] Speaker B: How many have I picked? Do you know? I don't think I picked that many female comedians. [00:51:41] Speaker C: You'll pick. [00:51:42] Speaker B: I'm probably not that much better because [00:51:43] Speaker A: you pick guys from the 80s. [00:51:45] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:51:46] Speaker A: Except for Rita Rudner. [00:51:48] Speaker C: Unless you pick Elaine Boozler, Rita Rudder, Carol Leifer. [00:51:52] Speaker A: That's it. [00:51:55] Speaker C: Well, your. Your stats are distorted by that run right where you were picking everything I [00:52:00] Speaker B: was doing every week. Yeah. [00:52:01] Speaker C: And I think you were kind of aiming more at historical bias and stuff. [00:52:05] Speaker B: Mostly, yeah. Everyone's. When I'll break it up. [00:52:07] Speaker C: But anyway. Kate Berlin. [00:52:09] Speaker A: Yeah. What's the story with this. This comedian? [00:52:11] Speaker C: Another name I'd heard a lot. People kept saying to me, oh, you like Kate Berlin. She's the sort of artsy stuff that you would like. And you know what? They were right. This is a work of art. [00:52:23] Speaker B: Wow. [00:52:24] Speaker A: We're getting right into it. You're just laying it out because otherwise [00:52:26] Speaker C: we'll be talking about Italian beef for three hours. This is a work of art. And it's painted to look like a work of art with its French cinema feel. Yeah, the black and white and the cutaways. It was great. [00:52:43] Speaker A: Wow. Okay, who are we watching next week? [00:52:48] Speaker C: I'm hoping. I'm banking minimally. You hated it. Possibly you hated it because of a comment you made about it earlier. [00:53:02] Speaker B: What did I say? [00:53:03] Speaker A: Your hand already. [00:53:04] Speaker B: I don't remember anything in the bathroom. What did I say? [00:53:06] Speaker C: No, you told me. Oh, I watched it, but I forgot about it immediately. [00:53:10] Speaker B: And I was like, no, no, no, no, I was wrong. I was wrong. I know the comment you're talking about. We were on the phone. Was that earlier today? Yeah. [00:53:19] Speaker C: No, [00:53:22] Speaker A: I called you on the phone. You didn't answer. [00:53:24] Speaker B: I thought it was our weekly meeting. Oh, that's right. It was. It was not. It was not today. It was last week. [00:53:28] Speaker C: Yep. [00:53:29] Speaker B: Anyway, no, I was wrong. I said I thought I watched it already two weeks ago, but as soon as I turned it on, I realized I have not seen. Seen this and it wasn't a Toy Story 5 sort of deal. [00:53:40] Speaker A: Well, as it's your job, whenever you choose a comedian for us to watch, tell us more about Kate, how she started, where we. Where else we might see her, who she might be making love to, etc. Etc. [00:53:53] Speaker C: I don't really know that much about it. There's no. No gigs listed on her, no tour dates. [00:53:59] Speaker A: No. [00:54:01] Speaker C: She's in a relationship with one of the band members from Muna. [00:54:06] Speaker A: What's that? [00:54:07] Speaker C: Muna is a very hip alt. [00:54:09] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:54:10] Speaker C: Or female group. [00:54:11] Speaker A: Oh, I would maybe like them. [00:54:12] Speaker C: So she Switch hitting. Even though she's talked a lot about men and dating men in her. In her special, she's pan. She's clearly pansexual. Both sides of the plate. And I just know that people had told me, you know, you're going to like this woman. She's. She's a cut above. [00:54:34] Speaker A: Cut above. Cut above. [00:54:35] Speaker C: Yep. [00:54:37] Speaker A: All right. And she's not. She's not from around here. Where's she from? La. This is in la. [00:54:42] Speaker C: She has no lodge linkage whatsoever. I have no degrees. I have no Kevin Bacon separation from this woman. [00:54:50] Speaker A: No CJ to nothing stup or anything. [00:54:53] Speaker C: Nothing at all. [00:54:55] Speaker A: Okay, well, I did a little research about her. She's a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. [00:55:07] Speaker C: Yep. [00:55:08] Speaker A: What the hell is that? [00:55:10] Speaker C: That's like. That's Bernie Sanders. [00:55:12] Speaker A: Yeah, well, I'm in there. Yeah, I'm not. I'm not part of the group, but. [00:55:15] Speaker C: Yeah, [00:55:18] Speaker A: she's 39. [00:55:19] Speaker C: Yeah. She looks a bit like an Andy McDowell. [00:55:25] Speaker A: I was gonna get to that. What she. Who she looks. [00:55:27] Speaker B: What do you say? She's a handsome, handsome woman. [00:55:29] Speaker A: Yeah. What? She's handsome. And this was most surprising to me. [00:55:35] Speaker C: Handsome. You know what handsome means then? Strong jawline. [00:55:38] Speaker B: Yeah, that's exactly right. [00:55:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Because all the people in last week's episode, we talked about being handsome. Renee Russo, she's got a strong jawline. [00:55:47] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:55:49] Speaker A: Kelly McGillis, Kurt Warner's wife, who you're somehow enamored with. I don't know why. [00:55:58] Speaker C: It was the rock. I used to sit there and go, who do you think she is? Rock set. [00:56:03] Speaker A: Because you watched that one super bowl where they kept cutting to her. [00:56:06] Speaker C: No, they all was cut to her. [00:56:08] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:56:08] Speaker C: Because she'd overcome cancer, I think. [00:56:10] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that's right. [00:56:12] Speaker C: And you know, Kurt Warner was the surprise success story of the NFL. He'd been playing for the Montreal Alouette till the previous year. It's just. They just stewed on him and her all the goddamn time. [00:56:26] Speaker B: You know, I'm just realizing, I don't think last week we said at the end of the episode who we were gonna review today. I don't think we did either, man. It's the first time that's ever happened. [00:56:34] Speaker A: So the audience that's listening, they didn't even know. [00:56:36] Speaker B: What are you guys even talking about? [00:56:37] Speaker A: Yeah, we did them, man. We did them wrong. Right? Well, maybe we can edit that in. [00:56:42] Speaker B: Yeah, let's splice it in. [00:56:45] Speaker A: Who? We will do a take right now. [00:56:47] Speaker B: Yeah. Here we go. [00:56:47] Speaker C: All right. [00:56:48] Speaker A: Who are you doing next week? Mark, it's your choice. [00:56:52] Speaker C: This the next week? I picked the strong jawed Kate Berlin. [00:57:01] Speaker A: Excellent. I don't know. Have you ever heard her, Christian? [00:57:03] Speaker B: No, I haven't, but she sounds like a handsome woman. [00:57:05] Speaker A: She a lodger. She come through the lodge, stay at the condo? Never stayed at the condo or anything. [00:57:10] Speaker B: I'm looking forward to seeing it. [00:57:11] Speaker A: All right, Tekashi, take us out. Right? I'm not gonna splice that in. [00:57:16] Speaker C: I'm not gonna. [00:57:17] Speaker A: So the last week's episode, we got that one in the can waiting. Hey, you know how we did Segura last week? [00:57:24] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:57:25] Speaker A: You know how he and we talked about his divorce. Yeah, well, they got divorced, but then they had like six months of episodes in the can. Right. So the news broke, but the show kept running with them on it, confusing audience members. [00:57:40] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:57:41] Speaker C: We should have six months. [00:57:43] Speaker A: Six months in the can. Yeah. I like to keep it live. I'd like to. [00:57:47] Speaker B: That way we can talk about. [00:57:48] Speaker A: Is there any way we could publish this a lot? [00:57:49] Speaker B: Yeah, let's do that. Let's do a live episode. 30 Rock. [00:57:53] Speaker A: There's no cut, no editing, just live. [00:57:55] Speaker B: I like being able to be topical. [00:57:57] Speaker C: Even your old lady's not going to tune in for that. [00:58:00] Speaker A: For a live. Yeah, well, I think she would. I mean, you can listen to it later. [00:58:03] Speaker B: Let's do it live on stage here one night. Yeah, we'll do it on a Tuesday. [00:58:09] Speaker C: Do it later. That's what we're doing already. [00:58:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:58:12] Speaker A: No, but I'm saying, like. But you can listen to it live as well. [00:58:15] Speaker B: Yeah. And call in. [00:58:17] Speaker A: Hey, that Christian, what you just said. So. Yeah, I have this film festival every year. Right. You came, Right. You didn't come last year, but hopefully you'll come this year. [00:58:25] Speaker B: Yeah, I remember I couldn't. [00:58:26] Speaker C: But I thought it had already been this year. [00:58:28] Speaker A: It would have, but I had to push it back. So it's going to be in September. September 18th, 19th. [00:58:33] Speaker B: Didn't I have to work or something? [00:58:34] Speaker A: I don't know. That's probably what you told me. [00:58:36] Speaker B: No, I really wanted to go. I remember that. [00:58:38] Speaker C: You should put it on September 11th and then play the September 11th film. [00:58:42] Speaker B: The footage. [00:58:44] Speaker C: You're missing a marketing angle. [00:58:46] Speaker B: The Regis and Kelly footage. [00:58:51] Speaker A: This year's ode to violence. It's Death Wish to Sudden Impact and robocop. Anyway, Begain offered to host it at his property and Michigan. He said he'd only host the film festival if you two came. If we open and we record live from the film festival, I mean, one of these episodes come in, it'd be like. It's like Woodstock thing. He won't let us in his house. We have to sleep out. [00:59:14] Speaker B: We can start. We can sneak up, though. [00:59:16] Speaker A: You want to do it? [00:59:16] Speaker B: We'll sneak in. [00:59:17] Speaker C: Is he scared of. We find shoddy workmanship, maybe. [00:59:21] Speaker B: Yeah, maybe. You call this a backsplash? [00:59:24] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:59:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:59:25] Speaker A: We'd be criticizing work. [00:59:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:59:27] Speaker A: He didn't build it, for that matter, but. All right. Stay tuned on that. [00:59:31] Speaker B: All right, we. [00:59:31] Speaker A: But we should do a Live from somewhere. Yeah, we'll do it here live on stage. Get the merch. Yeah, the stickers. Change the sloth. [00:59:39] Speaker B: Yep. [00:59:40] Speaker A: To something better. [00:59:40] Speaker B: No, keep the sloth. [00:59:41] Speaker C: It's not going anywhere. [00:59:42] Speaker B: I like the sloth and then the [00:59:44] Speaker A: fake audience in the background. Come on, man. Or the sloth. Hate the sloth. [00:59:51] Speaker B: What do you have against slots? [00:59:52] Speaker A: Nothing. [00:59:52] Speaker C: This is commercial Zeitgeist. [00:59:56] Speaker A: Come on. Who are we? Where are we? What day? What shows us? We were mixing shows, not reader. [01:00:04] Speaker B: Right, we're back. [01:00:04] Speaker A: We're back. All right. Kate Berlin, you've already laid all your cards down and said she's brilliant. So you think she's brilliant or you just think this is just ingenuitive? Is that a word? Ingenuity is a word. But is it ingenuitive word? [01:00:18] Speaker C: She's brilliant, I'll give you that. [01:00:21] Speaker A: I mean, well, I don't. I don't know that. Yeah, she seems very bright. Say that. [01:00:25] Speaker C: Well, she had the joke, didn't she? Like everyone thinks I'm an east coast intellectual or something, right? [01:00:31] Speaker A: I don't know. [01:00:32] Speaker C: I can't remember. [01:00:33] Speaker B: Yeah, [01:00:36] Speaker A: I was dozy during this one as well. [01:00:38] Speaker C: Jesus Christ. [01:00:39] Speaker A: I eked it out. Don't worry, I eat this one out. But I love the idea of an improvised set because you know how much I love improvised comedy. I think a stand up is meant to be improvisational. I don't like the every, you know, Larry Reeb school of comedy. The John Roy school of comedy. I'm not saying anything about John Roy. [01:01:05] Speaker C: Like improvises? Like Seinfeld. [01:01:08] Speaker A: No, I don't like Seinfeld for that matter either. I do like Seinfeld, but like, I. I like someone who goes out there on the high wire and you're saying she's on the high wire out here and this is an improvisational set. [01:01:19] Speaker C: No, I'm not saying. No, I think it's highly. Not improv. [01:01:22] Speaker A: What kind of build is that? [01:01:23] Speaker C: Too brilliant to be improvised? Yeah, you think it's mainly the words is surgically placed? See, I'm the. What about you're a nihilist. You like to see the world burn. You like anarchy. I am a control freak. I like surgical precision. [01:01:43] Speaker A: This is not. [01:01:44] Speaker B: Do you think. Do you think then it was on purpose when she messed up the word cornucopia and had to stop mid word and then explain how she had screwed the word up? Do you think that was planned Gaff? [01:01:54] Speaker C: No, I don't think that. [01:01:55] Speaker B: Or was that just an exception? [01:01:56] Speaker C: I think that was just an exception. So. But. [01:01:58] Speaker A: But this thing is marketed and billed as an improvisational stand up set. You know that, right? [01:02:04] Speaker C: Can I rewind to Tom Segura? For a second. Talking of mistakes, did you know his lighting issues? No, I can't remember last week anyway. All right. I can't remember Toy Story 5 carrying back to this. [01:02:16] Speaker A: Yeah, back to this. So. But this is. This is packaged as an improv. Kind of like Matt Rife crowd work. I'm not saying it's like that. I'm not saying it's on that level. I'm saying this is being sold as. Everyone has a unique thing. Right. Like, mm, Last Jerry Seinfeld. This is the last time I'm gonna do this act. This guy's doing all new humor. Hers is I'm gonna improvise for an hour. That's gonna be a special. That's how it's set. That's how it's. [01:02:45] Speaker C: I never saw that described. [01:02:46] Speaker A: Did you see that? [01:02:47] Speaker B: Let's see. What do you mean? [01:02:48] Speaker A: The descriptor for this? [01:02:49] Speaker B: No, no, I didn't. I saw it. It was called a movie, though, in Hulu, I think. [01:02:53] Speaker A: If you look at Hulu, the descriptor says that. So I'm not taking umbrage with anything. I'm saying. You're saying this is surgical and precise. I looked at it maybe falsely, I shouldn't have, as this girl's going to riff, and I'm sure she has some material, but she's going to improvise for an hour, and I'm going to judge her based on her ability to do that. [01:03:17] Speaker B: I thought it felt improvisational. [01:03:19] Speaker A: I did two. And I think she definitely had, you know, framework and there bits in there she's done or whatever. But it was scatological to the point where I was like, yeah, she's. She's improvising brilliantly. [01:03:36] Speaker C: Like, I mean, if this is improvised, that even heightens it to all. Amazing. [01:03:44] Speaker A: My question was going to be, how much. How much of it do you think was scripted? What percentage versus improvised? [01:03:53] Speaker B: I think I kind of figured she had benchmarks along the way. [01:03:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:03:57] Speaker B: Points to hit. And then she just kind of seemed like she's done it a million times and like she. Maybe she doesn't stray too far from what's worked in the past, you know, But I did get the feeling that a lot of it was kind of [01:04:10] Speaker A: off the cuff, but maybe Mark is right. [01:04:14] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:04:14] Speaker A: I'm not saying he's wrong and saying that like. [01:04:16] Speaker B: I'm just saying that's how it felt. [01:04:17] Speaker A: What's the expression? The greatest trick the devil ever. Another Kaiser Sosey reference convincing us he didn't exist. [01:04:23] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:04:24] Speaker A: The joke or the thing Is she's making you think it's improvisational. And it looks like she's doing that. [01:04:29] Speaker B: That would be brilliant. [01:04:30] Speaker A: Surgical and scripted. [01:04:31] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what I think. [01:04:32] Speaker A: But it would take a fuck. Yeah. [01:04:35] Speaker B: That'd be so hard. [01:04:35] Speaker A: Brilliant mind to pull that off. [01:04:37] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:04:37] Speaker C: I mean, I. The master of. I have a framework, but I'm going to improvise is Eddie Izzard. And Eddie Izzard shows last three hours because. [01:04:47] Speaker A: Or Cosby, for that matter. [01:04:48] Speaker C: Because it's just rambling off in direction. [01:04:50] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:04:51] Speaker C: This was 45 minutes solid. So that's what makes me think this isn't improvised. This was improvised. It would have lasted two goddamn hours. [01:05:02] Speaker A: Yeah. And certainly parts of it, like when she goes, put the spotlight on me. That can't be improvised. And then comes out of this. But. But maybe it is. That's what I'm really interested in knowing is. Is how much of it she does. [01:05:13] Speaker B: Say, play the track. And she says, I'm joking, there's no track. [01:05:16] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. So for that, I. I would give her. It's like memorizing the whole sling. [01:05:25] Speaker B: Yeah, right, right. [01:05:28] Speaker A: Whatever she did here is brilliant. That said, I didn't ever laugh. Yeah. [01:05:34] Speaker B: That was my. [01:05:35] Speaker C: What? [01:05:35] Speaker B: That was my thing with it. [01:05:36] Speaker A: Nothing was funny. [01:05:37] Speaker B: Yeah. It never got me. [01:05:38] Speaker A: She's annoying. [01:05:40] Speaker B: Yeah, there was. [01:05:41] Speaker A: I mean, she was stressed. [01:05:43] Speaker B: I was stressed out about halfway through. Yeah. [01:05:45] Speaker A: But, like, I was annoyed and, like, not wanting to listen. But I'm impressed that she's able to do this. If it is improvisational or if it's memorized, either way, that's impressive. She's talented. She's smart. I didn't laugh. [01:05:57] Speaker B: It's one of those things I. I was watching, like. I can see why somebody would really like this. It's not for me, but I could see why. You know, I was also wondering if it. If I would have had a different opinion about it if I saw it live, you know, not knowing. I also did watch it right after watching Tom Segura, so I was kind of comedied out at the time. [01:06:15] Speaker A: That would be. [01:06:17] Speaker C: Yeah. I deliberately didn't watch Sagira. I watched this. And then I thought, I gotta rest. Two in a row is just not gonna work. [01:06:26] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's always, you know, the circumstances under which you watch something, but to me, it's. It's pressurized, kind of stand up that I don't like. Regardless of whether it's improv or script, like Robin Williams, I can't. It's that kind of, like, I'M going here, I'm going there, I'm going, whatever. I don't give a fuck. [01:06:48] Speaker B: Right? We've talked about this before. You're. [01:06:50] Speaker A: You're spilling your brain out, and there's some brilliance in there, and you're smart and, wow, you can really shift gears. Get me off this fucking ride. [01:06:58] Speaker B: I loved the ending. [01:07:00] Speaker C: I love that she just walked off [01:07:02] Speaker B: and did the music started and she's still talking. [01:07:04] Speaker A: I was like, is it over? [01:07:05] Speaker B: Okay, so what do you guys think? Did she intentionally. Was the mic turned down? Could the audience hear the music and the mic was turned off, or was that just in post? [01:07:14] Speaker C: Well, she walked off, and the audience is clearly looking around as it ended. And then she walked back on again and started talking. But the mic was off. [01:07:23] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, Right, okay. [01:07:25] Speaker C: Which is just part of it. [01:07:27] Speaker B: So do you think there was music playing in the room? Because the music. The mic fades out and the music comes on as she's still talking. [01:07:35] Speaker C: I don't think the music was playing in the room. I think she just literally left and the audience is just looking at each other going, has it ended? [01:07:43] Speaker B: Yeah. And she walked back. [01:07:46] Speaker C: She walked back. [01:07:46] Speaker B: You mean when she, like, walked off stage? Right. Because I watched it all the way [01:07:51] Speaker C: to the credits, and then she walked around the back of the audience and disappeared for a minute. [01:07:55] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:07:55] Speaker C: So you're watching the credits and you're like, yeah, they're confused. They don't know this has ended or not. And then you see a walk back on and address them in some manner. [01:08:04] Speaker B: I must have missed that. Hulu was doing that thing where they're like, hey, now that this is over, you want to watch this? And it's like, dude, stop, stop. I'm not done yet. [01:08:12] Speaker C: I hate that. [01:08:13] Speaker B: It's so annoying. [01:08:14] Speaker C: Little window, when you reach for the remote, you're gonna accidentally exit out. Exit. [01:08:20] Speaker B: Right. It's so annoying. [01:08:21] Speaker A: What played after this? I can't remember. [01:08:24] Speaker B: It's probably whatever is on your algorithm for me is whatever my sister's like, you know, up next, you know? But yeah, that, like, the whole screen is taken up so that they don't want to lose your attention. [01:08:35] Speaker C: Directed by Bo Burnham. [01:08:37] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. [01:08:38] Speaker C: Executive producer Jared Carmichael. Very. [01:08:40] Speaker A: Who's that? [01:08:42] Speaker C: He's a very. [01:08:43] Speaker A: Jirad Carmichael. [01:08:44] Speaker C: Yeah, he's a very sort of. [01:08:46] Speaker A: Yeah, I've heard of him. Yeah, he does his own stand up. [01:08:50] Speaker C: Yeah, he does his own stand up. He also directed Drew Michaels thing where he made it weird, but yeah, by Burnham. This is what I want. This is what I want stand up comedy to be. [01:09:06] Speaker A: Yeah, I like the. Yeah, I like that. It's different. [01:09:11] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:09:11] Speaker A: You know, like, that's cool. That's different. Like, it doesn't have to be. [01:09:16] Speaker B: Yeah, it was. It was refreshing to see something. [01:09:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:09:19] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:09:19] Speaker A: So I dug it for that reason. Yeah. Okay, well, but. But you laughed. The jokes were funny. [01:09:28] Speaker C: Yep. [01:09:29] Speaker A: It's hard to even pull out any jokes here. [01:09:32] Speaker C: There's a bit where she's pretending to be a clairvoyant and she keeps sort of saying, yeah, I had it. I had. I had that rough. [01:09:38] Speaker A: There's a Rebecca over here. [01:09:39] Speaker C: Yeah. And then. Then there's. There's a one quote I wrote in Stewing in Rage. She's talking about how your women are born with the eggs. Yeah, they did. They have. And so you have spent this entire time, like all the rage and everything your mum felt was. You were in there the whole time and stuff. Awesome. [01:10:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:10:03] Speaker C: And then she had a good act out as a mother. She was. At one point I thought, is the other facial expressions and acting gonna annoy me? But it never did. [01:10:12] Speaker B: Oh, that got to me. [01:10:14] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, it never did get to me. [01:10:16] Speaker A: Does it remind you of anybody else? For me, it's very specific, but I [01:10:19] Speaker B: don't know if we've seen stuff like that. [01:10:21] Speaker A: Like where. The cross. [01:10:23] Speaker B: Yeah, the cross. [01:10:24] Speaker A: Like Jerry Lewis or Martin Short used to do The Jackie Rogers Jr. Like. [01:10:30] Speaker C: Yeah. Or Carvey. [01:10:33] Speaker A: Carvey. [01:10:33] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:10:34] Speaker A: Mugging. [01:10:35] Speaker C: I was worried right at the start. I was worried because I was like, oh, this is gonna. This is gonna taint it. But it didn't. In the end, I actually enjoyed the stuff. [01:10:46] Speaker A: There's one joke I really liked about. Oh, when she talks about woman president. Right. Like, we'll never. Will never have a woman president. Or the only. It could only be one of two versions. The complete. [01:10:59] Speaker B: The refrigerator on one wheel. [01:11:01] Speaker A: I'm sorry, Refrigerator with one eyeball. [01:11:04] Speaker B: Yeah, I like that. [01:11:05] Speaker A: That was brilliant. I mean, yeah, like. But I think it's. I find this from one of our earliest reviews when we looked at your favorite Maria Bamford. I can appreciate it. Her or the Scarlet, because they're. They're very smart. [01:11:21] Speaker B: Right. [01:11:23] Speaker A: But it's not funny to me, you know, like, just like. That was good. Yeah. Like, you leave a comedy show and be like, never have laughed. Like, that guy was really good. But not laugh. But isn't the goal or isn't the end goal of this whole thing is to fucking laugh? [01:11:40] Speaker B: I don't know. It's kind of like going to a concert you can go to a concert and the point is, you know, they. They want to get you to dance, you know, but you can also go see the Philharmonic, and you're not going to dance at the Philharmonic, but you're going to leave saying, that was pretty cool. Decent. [01:11:52] Speaker A: Great analogy. That's a great analogy. Yeah. [01:11:57] Speaker B: What do we think? Rating time? Yeah, yeah. Out of five. What's out of five mirrors? [01:12:08] Speaker A: That was weird with the mirror. [01:12:09] Speaker B: Yeah. Have we ever seen. I like that, though. I like the doing something different. [01:12:12] Speaker C: I don't know if that was put up specially for that show because you could tell the audience was on the stage. There was a stage because this. The one of them was lower than the other. So I was like, oh, they did it. This isn't like theater in the Ram. [01:12:27] Speaker A: Actually, it was filmed at Upright Citizens Brigade. I've never been there, but I'm guessing [01:12:32] Speaker C: I've been to the one in New York. I've never been to LA. [01:12:37] Speaker A: What year was this? [01:12:38] Speaker C: 2019. [01:12:40] Speaker A: Oh, okay, so it's a little farther back. I would have thought it was more recent. Yeah. The only other mirror set that I can think of was Galifianakis. Had a mirror you could see him in sometimes. Right, from the side view. Yeah. And Schaefer Shafir. Was he mirrored? [01:12:57] Speaker C: No, he had candles. [01:12:59] Speaker B: Yeah, that was candles. [01:13:03] Speaker A: All right, well, the rating scale is what? [01:13:06] Speaker C: I don't know. [01:13:08] Speaker B: Out of five? Strong Jaws. [01:13:11] Speaker A: From now on, it's the job of whoever chose the comedian to choose the rating scale. [01:13:17] Speaker C: All right. [01:13:18] Speaker A: Strong jaws, huh? Okay, she has a master's degree. There's not a lot of comedians with master's degrees. [01:13:29] Speaker B: Right. [01:13:30] Speaker A: She got her bachelor's and her master's from nyu. Right. How many comedians have advanced degrees of any kind or degrees? [01:13:39] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [01:13:40] Speaker A: Associate's degree. [01:13:41] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:13:42] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:13:43] Speaker C: It's impressive for impressing an account academic like yourself. [01:13:48] Speaker A: Yes, yes. I'm a man of letters myself. All right. Strong Jaws. Okay, out of how many? Five? [01:13:57] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:13:59] Speaker A: Three and a half. Strong Jaws for Kate Bertlund Berland. Could she get. Could we get her booked at the lodge? Is she too big for the lodge? [01:14:08] Speaker C: You know, I was thinking that's why I was on the website. [01:14:10] Speaker A: I was like, oh, you're digging around. [01:14:12] Speaker C: Yeah. Digging around. Agent. [01:14:15] Speaker A: She came through town. Where does she end up? Zany's? No, she's not a zany comedian. [01:14:22] Speaker B: Yeah, probably. [01:14:23] Speaker A: Or here. She's better for here. This is more alternative, I would say, than the Den. [01:14:30] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, definitely. I don't even want to go down that path of Despair, depressed. [01:14:36] Speaker B: Well, although I did not make me laugh, I really enjoyed the creativity behind it. Gaining it a three out of five strong jaws. [01:14:46] Speaker A: You're giving it three out of five? I gave it three and a half. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna be with him. Three. [01:14:51] Speaker C: All right, well, I'm going straight to five. [01:14:53] Speaker B: Fuck off. [01:14:54] Speaker A: Wow. [01:14:55] Speaker C: Five strong jaws. [01:14:56] Speaker B: Is this a. [01:14:57] Speaker C: Is in the box seat for best of season three. [01:15:00] Speaker B: Wow. [01:15:02] Speaker C: Well, says wow at this early stage. [01:15:04] Speaker A: Wow. Come on. [01:15:08] Speaker B: Hey, everyone's. [01:15:11] Speaker C: I might watch it again. [01:15:13] Speaker A: Wow. [01:15:14] Speaker C: I never do that. [01:15:16] Speaker A: Wow. [01:15:16] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:15:17] Speaker A: Kate Berlin. I expect a phone call from owner proprietor of the Lincoln Lodge, Mark Geary. [01:15:23] Speaker C: Yeah, like I said, I don't think she's performing much these days, my kid. [01:15:28] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't know. [01:15:29] Speaker C: I think she's got, like, you know, podcasts and the usual shite. [01:15:32] Speaker A: Maybe she's preggers. She's taking some time off. [01:15:36] Speaker C: No, she's banging a lesbian. [01:15:38] Speaker A: They have babies, too. I don't want to get you in hot water. My. My son last night was hanging around. He's like. I was like, you want to watch this? He's like, nah. He's like, do people actually listen to that podcast? You do? I go, I don't know. [01:15:51] Speaker B: Yeah, maybe. [01:15:53] Speaker A: I think he goes, what's the Name of it? [01:15:55] Speaker B: 2 People in Cicero do. [01:15:57] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:15:57] Speaker C: Yeah. We're big in Germany. [01:15:59] Speaker A: In Vietnam too, apparently. [01:16:01] Speaker C: Like, it big in Japan. [01:16:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:16:03] Speaker A: But I go, I don't know. He goes, what's the name of it? And I told him, and he went in the room and I came back like five minutes later. He's like, you sound really different on that. Like, you're talking different. I was like, really? But do you know what our most [01:16:17] Speaker C: listened to episode still is? [01:16:19] Speaker A: Marcelo Hernandez. [01:16:20] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:16:20] Speaker A: Yeah. So that's my point. [01:16:21] Speaker C: Wtf? [01:16:23] Speaker A: Wtf? Omg. Lol. His next question was, do the comedians that you review listen to these? And I was like, I don't think so, but they could. [01:16:38] Speaker B: They could if they want. [01:16:39] Speaker A: But my point is, if Kate Bertland. Bertlan. Bertlan. Bertlan, like, was just, you know, what do you call it when you search it for yourself? [01:16:50] Speaker B: Google yourself. I don't know. [01:16:51] Speaker A: Yeah, there's a term for. It was like, googling herself and, you know, it's been slow year for her. Right. And not much out there. Right. [01:17:01] Speaker B: And this pops. [01:17:01] Speaker A: But would this shit pop up for one of these comedians? And, like, they did a fucking podcast and reviewed my shit. Let me put the. [01:17:08] Speaker C: Are these guys I'm struggling with? So, you know, castos right? [01:17:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:17:13] Speaker C: Who. There's a Castos, is where is. So is this is housed. Housed. There's like, you know, a keyword thing like you have on all websites. So the keywords I always put. Like, for this one, I would put Kate Berlin, Comedy Special, Stand Up Review. That's the keywords. I don't think it does, but if [01:17:38] Speaker A: you put in different keywords. [01:17:40] Speaker C: Plus, we keep. I sent you that email, right? We keep getting harassed. [01:17:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:17:43] Speaker C: Like, hey, we get bots emailing us. Hey, I saw your website. I saw your podcast. [01:17:50] Speaker A: Yeah, we'll talk to you about it. [01:17:52] Speaker C: It's great. But I want. I think we can get you in front of. [01:17:55] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. But if you change that. That prompt right into, I don't know, something more salacious, say, Kate Bertlund, Two girls in a cup or whatever. What's that thing? [01:18:09] Speaker B: Right. [01:18:10] Speaker A: Would it generate much different or much more. [01:18:16] Speaker C: I don't think he does deadly well because podcasts now are big business, which means they've been monetized, which means you ain't getting in the shop window unless you're ponying up. [01:18:29] Speaker A: Right, right, right. [01:18:31] Speaker C: And we ain't ponying up. [01:18:33] Speaker A: I'm gonna do that while. Yeah, I wanna. I wanna dig around like Kate Berlin, Stand Up Review. If you did that, whether we would pop up or not. [01:18:45] Speaker B: I almost just searched it just now. Yeah, this isn't out. Yeah, yeah, we're recording at the moment. [01:18:51] Speaker A: Well, not her, but any of the ones we've done. [01:18:53] Speaker B: I guess I could search somebody. What? [01:18:54] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, I'm absolutely dying for a slash. Can we end this one? I'm about to go on the floor. [01:19:01] Speaker A: What's the. What's the slack? [01:19:02] Speaker C: Toilet. [01:19:03] Speaker B: Oh, I see. Yeah. I'm gonna lay a rope or go to pee. [01:19:07] Speaker C: No, no, we. [01:19:09] Speaker A: We. [01:19:10] Speaker B: All right, well, next week we are going to stay. We're gonna stay in the something different category. We'll be reviewing the 2018 Fred Armisen special. Stand up for drummers. [01:19:21] Speaker A: Okay. [01:19:22] Speaker C: Back to music. [01:19:23] Speaker B: Back to music. [01:19:24] Speaker A: Back to the. The. Oh, you're. Cut me off. [01:19:27] Speaker B: Oh, I'm waiting for you. Go ahead. [01:19:30] Speaker A: Back to the mid 2000s [01:19:34] Speaker B: and then what? [01:19:35] Speaker A: All right, whatever. [01:19:35] Speaker C: No, say. [01:19:36] Speaker B: Say the Kobayashi thing. [01:19:38] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, Kobayashi. Take us out, Takashi. [01:19:41] Speaker B: Actually, yeah, I was sticking with the usual suspects there.
